(See Rural Beautification Contest Winners). In 1971 the house and lot were sold to Bernard Hard- wick, and Lois and Gerald lived in a mobile home on the south side of the Blueshank. They then built their present home. Gerald farmed until 1973 and then established Island Foam Insulation Limited. He sold this business to John Morrison of Charlottetown in May, 1978. Gerald and Lois had a family of four daughters: Barbara Ann (May 22, 1957) married Brian McLean. (See McLean). Hester Carol (Sept., 1959) married Kevin MacKenzie on May 19, 1979.
