198 A Bridge To The Past HOGG John Darius Everett Hogg (Aug. 14, 1905) is the son of the late John William and Sarah Ada (Clark) Hogg of Wilmot Valley. He married Fanny Pratt Glover (June 20, 1903) on June 30, 1931. Fanny is the daughter of John R. and Louisa E. (Mill) Glover of Summerside. Fanny and Darius live on the former Edmund Stavert property where they farmed for many years. Darius played the violin, in years gone by, at many a community event, as was mentioned in the account of John W. Hogg’s property. Darius was also one of the Wilmot Valley members of the North Bedeque Tug-of—War team which won the provincial championship several times. The Hoggs pur- chased the part of the Agnew property which lies south of the Wilmot river, when that farm was sold. Darius and Fanny are retired. They had a family of four: Phyllis Jean (June 16, 1932) married Thane Baglole. They live in Wilmot and have two children, Herbert Thane and Joanne Marilyn. John Darius Lowell (April 9, 1934) married Velma Chappell. They live in Cornwall, P.E.I. They have four children: Gary Lowell, Dwight Darius, Susan Edith and Cheryl Leanne. Denzil Earl (March 8, 1936) married Gladys Davison and farms at home. Walter Ivan (Aug. 3, l943-Oct. 28, 1943). HOGG Denzil Earl Hogg (March 8, 1936) is the son of Darius and Fanny Hogg. In 1961 he married Gladys Arlene Davison (May 8, 1938), daughter of Waldon and Vera Jane (Picketts) Davison. Gladys received an RN. frOm the RBI. Hospital in 1959. Denzil and Gladys built a new home on the Hogg property. In 1963 he and his father purchased the Robert Baker farm in North Bedeque. Denzil purchased his father‘s properties when Darius retired in 1970. Denzil farms and he and Gladys have {our daughters: Gwynneth Jane (May 29, 1962). Nancy Arlene (Sept. 14, 1964). Susanne Gladys (July 23, 1969). Jillian Phyllis(April 17, 1971). Across the road from the Denzil Hogg house is the home of Harold Day. This property was part of the four-hundred-and-fiftyaacre lot drawn by the Loyalist, William Wright. The first family who is known to have settled there is the family of Joseph Barwise.
