daughter of Frank and Helen (Ferguson) Muttart of Carleton, on Oct. 13, 1934. Lloyd and Dorothy carried on a mixed farming operation until Lloyd became ill and the farm was then taken over by his eldest son, Arnold. Lloyd and Dorothy had two sons:

Donald (Oct. 1, 1942) B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D., married Judy Williams of Mon— treal West. Donald is employed by the Nova Scotia Department of the Environment. Donald and Judy have one child, Andrew Mark.

Arnold Waugh married, Sept. 6, 1958, Barbara Irving (Aug. 12, I936), daughter of Fred and Florence (Craswell) Irving of Cape Traverse. When Arnold and Barbara were married Lloyd and Dorothy built a new home next door and lived there until Lloyd became ill and Arnold took over the farm. Arnold has one of the few dairy farms in the community and maintains a large herd. He takes a strong interest in the various farm organizations. Dorothy now lives in Summerside. Arnold and Barbara have one daughter, Nancy, born July 20, 1959.

Up the road a short piece from the Waugh residence and still on the east side we come to the home of Foster Oatway.

OATWAY

Foster Lee Oatway (March 3, 1927) is the son of Mark and Marion (Milligan) Oatway of Freeland. He married in Truro, April 23, 1954, Betty Lou Marie (April 20, 1936), daughter of Peter and Anna Isabel (Murray) Taylor of Onslow, N.S. Foster and Betty moved to Wilmot Valley in 1966 to work for Lloyd Waugh. At first they lived in one of the Waugh houses and later Foster bought a lot of land from Arnold and built a new home. Foster still works for Arnold Waugh and he and Betty have four children:

Della Beryl (April 21, 1955) married David Jones and has three children: Christa Lynn and twins, Jeffrey David and Jason Michael.

Randy Lee (June 17, 1956) works in Summerside Industrial Park. Mark Edison (April 17, 1959) works at C.M. MacLean’s. William Preston (May 28, 1965) is still in school.

The last house on the Wilmot Grove Road in Wilmot Valley is located on the east side and is the home of Ralph and Alice Hogg. The first people to live here were the Schurmans.
