2-10 A Bridge To The Past Mary (Dec. 18, 1771-Feb. 29, 1860) remained in New Rochelle, N.Y. She married Thomas Tompkins and their children were: Daniel Bonnet, Jane, Elias Quereau, David, Sarah, and Samuel C. They also had two adopted children. One account names these children Gilbert, and John M. The other account identifies them as William, and Phoebe Norton. Isaac (Nov., 1774-Apr. 22, 1859) married Mary Baker. Their children were Alice, Mary, John Baker 0r “Cummyfoe”, William (lived at Ralph Hogg’s farm, father of Little Isaac) and Isaac. Isaac (1774) later married Jane Lefurgey of Wilmot Valley. Their children were Jane, Ann Maria, Elizabeth, Solomon Desbrisay, Ralph Thompson, Caleb, Helen, Joseph Silliker and Peter. Jacob (March 10, 1777) married Penelope McKendrick and settled on the site of Ira Arsenault‘s home, later moving to Norboro. (See Jacob Schurman). William and his second wife, Elizabeth, had seven children: Benjamin (1780—1799) was lost at sea on one of William's vessels, the “Mary_,’ Caleb (April 20, 1782-Dec., 1855) married Mary Lefurgey of Wilmot Valley and lived in Central Bedeque. Their children were: William, John. Sophia (died in infancy), Sophia, Elijah, Peter, Robert, Mary Jane, Alfred Compton, Isaac, Jacob and Abraham. Jane (1785-Oct. 30, 1824) married Joseph Silliker and settled in Lower Bedeque. Sarah (Jan. 25, 1788-Feb., 1866) married Jesse Baker in 1806 and they settl— ed in North Bedeque on the Taylor Road. Their children were: William (died in infancy), John, Elizabeth, Hannah, Hester, William, Adah, Lewis, Mary Jane, Montague Clark, Penelope, Mary Ann and Richard. William (Mar. 20, 1793—Apr. 4, 1855) married Mary Maxfield on Feb. 18, 1819. They settled in Sherbrooke and their children were Barbara, Elizabeth, Ann, Elijah Hyatt, Sarah, Caleb, Mary, William, Martha and Benjamin. William’s brother, John, sold the Wilmot Valley pro- perty in 1824 to William Clark. William bought four thousand two hundred and eight acres from Clark in 1827 but later sold most of this land. Elizabeth (l794-June 1, 1829) married Ralph Thompson of Charlottetown. Their children were Barbara, another child whose name is unknown, William Schurman Blucher and Elizabeth.
