PLOMP

Hans Plomp immigrated to Canada during the 1950’s with his parents Johannis and Johanna (Bakker) Plomp. Hans married Betsy Gysvrecth and bought Frank Jardine’s property where they carried on a mixed farming operation. They were here only a few years, then moved to Borden where Hans was a policeman for the town. From Borden they moved to Amherst where Hans works as a policeman. They have two children, Rennie and

Ronnie.

The Plomps sold their property to Elmer and Colin Waugh and the house was occupied by tenants for several years. Elmer then sold the house to Bill Farris who lived there with his family for a short period of time. Bill and his family moved to their present home, on the Waugh Road, and this house remained unoccupied for several years, until it was purchased by Thomas Coolen. The land is now owned by Arnold Waugh.
