The Club was formed on 2 June 1864. Its approved constitution

     The object of this Club shall be the preserving and perpetuating in 
     
     P.E. Island, the National Dress, Music, and Athletic Games of the 
     
     People of Scotland, and the Club shall consist of Scotchmen — their 
     
     Sons, and the Grandsons of Scotchmen, in male line, resident in Prince

     This Society shall be called the Caledonian Club of 
     
     PE. Island. 
     
    

    
     The management of the Club shall be vested in a Chief, a 
     
     President, two Vice-Presidents, Corresponding Secretary, 
     
     Recording Secretary, Treasurer and Nine Directors. 
     
    

    
     Persons desirous of admission to the Club shall be proposed 
     
     by a member in good standing, accompanied with the sum of 
     
     ten shillings, and shall be balloted for at a Regular or Special 
     
     Meeting; if rejected the money to be refunded. Five Black 
     
     Balls will exclude a candidate. 
     
    

    
     No member shall be eligible for office, or shall vote on any 
     
     question unless he shall have paid his subscription dues. 
     
     Quarterly meetings of the Club shall be as follow, viz: — on 
     
     the first Monday in June; first Monday in September; first 
     
     Monday in December; and the Annual meeting on the first 
     
     Monday in March in each year. 
     
    

    
     Nine members shall be a quorum for the transaction of 
     
     business, and call Special meetings by the consent of the 
     
     President, or in his absence, of either of the Vice Presidents. 
     
     Members of the Club at all Gatherings, Annual meetings, and 
     
     on all public occasions, shall appear either in Highland 
     
     Costume, or the following uniform, viz: — Trews of the 
     
     42nd. Regiment Tartan Highland Jacket of the Royal Archers 
     
     Green Cloth, Scarf of the Royal Tartan, and a Glengarry 
     
     Bonnet with a Thistle. Military and Naval Officers shall 
     
     appear in their respective uniforms with scarfs only. 
     
    

    
     At the Annual gatherings prizes shall be awarded to eligible
