     It is unknown whether or not L'Etoile du Nord was ever published. 
     
     What is known of the paper comes from references to its impending 
     
     publication in the Pioneer. L'Etoile du Nord was to be a French 
     
     language newspaper, devoted to agriculture, literature, politics, 
     
     religion and nationality, beginning publication in May of 1882.
