(Stephen, 3 ; Robert, 2; Thomas, I), was born November 29, 1700; he died in 1746. His will was proved, July, 1746. His home was in Point Judith, on the farm now owned by the heirs of Carder H. Clark. His father gave him this farm by will, calling it “the farm where I now live, one hundred and fifty acres, also fifty acres of homestead farm, bounded South on Jeffrey Champlin, West on George Hazard, North on land in occupation of William Robinson, East on rema1n1ng part of said farm, he paying to the Colony what said farm 13 mortgaged for.” In 1735 he was appointed Justice of the In— ferior Court of Common Pleas.” This position gave him the title of Judge, by which he has always been distinguished from the other Stephen Hazard of his generation.
