§ 431- JONATHAN J. HAZARD, 6 (Jonathan J. 5; Jonathan, 4; Thomas, 3 , Robert, 2; Thomas, I), was born In 1759 ,he married, December 29, I781, Tacy Burdick: of Charlestown, Rhode Island, daughter of Edward and Thank— ful Burdick. She was born in 1755. Mr. Hazard, like his father, was an active man in the affairs of the town and Colony. He was often chosen representative of the town of Charlestown, and intrusted with commissions by the Colony. He did not, like the other children, follow his father to New York, but lived and died on his farm in Charlestown. He died in 1807.

§ 432. GRIFFEN BARNEY HAZARD, 6 (Jonathan J., 5; Jonathan, 4; Thomas, 3; Robert, 2; Thomas, I), was born in 1765 ; died in 1822. He was the driver of an army—wagon in the Revolutionary War, though then but a mere lad. He was a man of energy and enterprise, and was much employed in public offices. He moved to Milo Center, Yates County, New York, In 1797- , here he built a large dwelling—house, still standing , a saw—mill In 1811, and a grist— mill in 1812. From thence he moved to Starkey (near Dundee, Reading), about I 818. He left a large estate at his death, including seven hundred acres of land. He married, about 1792, Mary, daughter of James Parker, who died in 1845.
