MARGARET HAZARD, 9 (Rowland, 8 ; Rowland G., 7; Rowland, 6; Thomas, 5; Robert, 4; Thomas, 3 ; Robert, 2; Thomas, I), was born in Peacedale, Rhode Island, May 3 I, 1867; she married, June 24, I893, Doétor Irving Fisher. Doétor Fisher graduated from Yale as the valediétorian of his class in 1888. In 1891 he took the degree of Doctor of Philosophy, presenting as his thesis 2 pa— per entitled Mathematical Invertz'gatiom in the Theory of Value and Prices, which attracted much attention. In 1893—4 he studied at the universities of Berlin and Paris, and delivered an address before the economic seétion of the British Asso— ciation at its Oxford session, August, 1894. He is a professor in the mathemat— ical department of Yale University.’
