Taere he received the visits of General Fanning , a former governor of the Island, and Chief Justice Colclough , and other notables of the place, who were most cordial. The Chief Justice carried his kindness so far as to write to the Bishop the following day, inviting him to hold divine service in the new courthouse which he had caused to be swept out and prepared for the purpose.
