Sister spent the rest of her religious life in St. Mary’s, Summerside where she endeared herself to all who knew her. Her beautiful soul passed to her eternal reward in July, 1970.
Sister Mary Geraldine Clarke C.N.D.
Sister Mary Geraldine, daughter of Denis Clarke and Mary Ann Cragg entered the Sisters of the Congregation of Notre Dame in 1914 and made her perpetual profession in 1922. After teaching in our various
schools in Canada and the United States, Sister went to her eternal reward in 1966.
Sister Dorothy Catherine MacMillan C.N.D.
Sister Dorothy Catherine, daughter of Richard MacMillan and Mary Ann MacDougall, entered the Sisters of the Congregation in 1915 and made
her perpetual profession in 1923. Sister taught in Charlottetown and Montreal and died in 1936.
Sister Mary Ethel Kelly C.N.D.
Sister Mary Ethel, daughter of John Kelly and Mary Ann Boylan, entered the Sisters of the Congregation of Notre Dame in 1917 and made her perpetual profession in 1925. Sister taught in Montreal for a short While and then went to the United States where she taught High School in Providence, R.I., and Lewiston, Maine. She then became superior in our Convents at Lewiston, Maine and St. Albans, Vermont. At present Sister resides in our Convent in Ridgefield, Conn.
Sister Catherine Rooney C.N.D.
Catherine Rooney, daughter of Philip Rooney and Ellen McKenna, Cherry Valley, entered the Sisters of the Congregation of Notre Dame in August 1929. and made her perpetual profession in August 1937. Sister taught in Newcastle, NR and in Mount St. Bernard, N.S. Sister was Bursar at Notre Dame, Ottawa. Sister worked with the miners as Pottery Instructor in Sydney Mines and was Superior at Notre Dame Convent, Sydney Mines from 1967-1973. In 1975 Sister was named Superior for a second time at Notre Dame, Sydney Mines.
Sister Emily Susan Connolly C.N.D.
Sister Emily, daughter of Joseph Connolly and Rose Trainor, entered the Sisters of the Congregation of Notre Dame in 1914 and made her perpetual profession in 1922. Sister taught in several schools in Can- ada and the United States until her death in 1955.
