In 1905 Marshfield separated from the Covehead and Stan- hope Churches which at that time formed the pastoral charge, and in 1925 was united with Mt. Stewart and Harrington to form the present pastoral charge. For 134 years, under a number of devoted ministers this congregation has served the spiritual needs of the community. Many who were faithful adherents and mem- bers are buried in the beautiful well-kept cemetery beside the Church but the descendants, along with new families in the dist- rict, faithfully carry on the Lord’s work.
MEMBERS OF SESSION. The Session consists of the Rev’d. T. H. B. Somers. Interim- moderator: Mr. Earl Foster, Clerk. Mr. Talmage Foster, Mr. Cedric Ballem, and Mr. Athol MacBeath, who is the fourth generation to serve as a member of Kirk Ses- sion of the Congregation.
RENOVATIONS: During the summer of 1963 the exterior of the building was painted. And during the past few months a new Hammond Organ has been purchased through the gifts of the members and friends of the Congregation. A new set of choir robes was given as a gift from a member of the Congregation. The sancturary had been further enhanced by the erection of a Choir Room and a Vestry on either side of the platform. Fifteen Books of Praise have been given by a friend of the Congregation.
