21 1945 - Young married women's group formed under Mrs. John McLean . "Travelling Basket" project netted $53.03. Due to food rationing the Halloween Tea was again cancelled. However, a food sale and Christmas gift sale raised $273-96. A welcome home party for service men and women of the Kirk was held at the YMCA. 1946 - The Auxiliary groups each established objectives based on membership. Projects included rummage sales, white elephant auction sales, serving tea at meetings, collection at group meetings, annual dues, "Kirk Store," magazine agency, and travelling baskets. The Auxiliary and Trustees held a joint meeting leading to the reno¬ vation of the kitchen. 1947 - The Kirk Store made further progress.
