CHURCH

Bunbury’s only church still stands as Clifton United Church on Clifton Road. In 1848, the church was built as a Wesleyan Chapel on land given by Capt. James Kelly for the sum of five shillings. The land surrounding church was already in use as a burying ground. The deeds are dated September 28, and October 19,

1848, and the church was dedicated in the spring of 1849.
