In the political field, Valleyfield has been represented in the following:
Hon. Murdoch MacKinnon was Lieutenant Governor of the Province.
Hon. Alexander Martin represented the County of Queens in the House of Commons at Ottawa.
Angus MacLeod and Callum Bruce represented their Districts in the Local Legislature.
Hon. John A. Campbell is Minister without Portfolio in the present Government at Charlottetown.
