DEACON ALEX ROBERTSON, SENIOR

Deacon Robertson was called to the deaconate in 1873 and died in 1899. He was a good man, full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and was much beloved, both by the church and by those who were without. His home was the home of the ministers; and in that peaceful atmosphere many a tired minister found his body strengthened and his soul re- freshed. He was gentle to all men, fervent in prayer, and always wel- comed at the homes of sickness and sorrow. He served well his day and generation. He lived a blameless life and died respected and mourned by all.
