HISTORICAL SKETCH OF THE EAST POINT BAPTIST CHURCH Seventh. That the payment of salary be made quarterly as nearly as possible. Eighth. That each party to the agreement be responsible only for the amount subscribed by their own people. Ninth. That the joint committee be responsible to the pastor only for the amount of salary agreed upon. Tenth. That the forenoon service be held alternately at South Lake and Kingsboro : other services to be arranged for by the committee. Eleventh. That in case of converts from either congregation, they be left to join the church of their own choice, and that proselyting in any form be discouraged. Twelfth. That all cases under this arrangement calling for joint action be promptly attended to on call of the chairman of the joint com¬ mittee. Thirteenth. That all measures entered into by the joint committee have the sanction of a majority of the qualified persons in each church, attending a meeting of which notice of such question has been given. HUGH MORRISON , 1909-1910 Mr. Morrison was a man somewhat advanced in years, but of earn¬ est spirit and thoroughly esteemed by all. He was a strong and inform¬ ing preacher, and a clear and intelligent expositor of the word. The condition of his health and the enlarged area of the field made his stay brief. He died shortly after leaving the community. 32
