Deacon T. S. Robertson was the only son of Duncan Robertson of Red point. He united with the church during the great revival of 1874, and continued to be one of the church’s most beloved and devoted mem~ bets. pure in speech and life, and honorable in all his dealings, he was a living example to the church and community olj what real religion can do with a life fully yielded to its influence. His line character and high ideals were appreciated by his fellow citizens of all denominations; and many local honors were bestowed upon him by dillerent organizations. In his death7 under painful circumstances (killed by a bull), the com- munity lost an intelligent and highly respected citizen and the church a beloved and devoted member.
His funeral was attended by a large procession of Friends and neigh— bors representing all classes and creeds in the community. His pastor, Rev. R. MacWalker, spoke of his pure and exemplary lite, and compared him (I) to Jonathan. a choice Bible character who was always ready to help another, (2) to John the Baptist. in pointing others to Christ, (3) to John, the beloved disciple, who was loving to others and beloved of all, (4) to Nathaniel, in whose spirit there was no guile, and (3) to Stephen.
