Alvin Gordon Robertson was horn at East Baltic. P‘ E Island. Sep- tember 15th. 1900. His father‘s name was john James Rohgrtson. His mother‘s maiden name was Lydia Velma Rose. H: attended school at Kingsboro until he reached the age of lotirteen. In th: summer of 1914 he accepted Christ as his Saviour. and in Cciohrr of that year was bap- USL’tl by Rev. W. E. Piper and joined the East Point Baptist Church. The summers of 1917-1921 he spent in his fishing l‘oat, by means of which he earned enough monsy to cover his expenses through half of his college course.

He set out for Horton Academy on january 12th, 1922. The Academy year was then well spent, and it was with great difficulty that he applied himself to the work; but with praiseworthy perseverence he gradually made the new adjustment. At the end of the year he had the
