1 INTRODUCTION Seated in the Sanctuary in the twilight hour as the congregation was assembling for the evening worship, the only sounds breaking the silence were the soft music of the organ, the footsteps of incoming worshippers, and the placing of chairs to accommo¬ date the extra people. My thoughts strayed back over the years to the time when our parents, grandparents, and great grandparents assembled themselves in this dear familiar place to listen to the Word of God . In the Book of Revelation John tells us that he was "In the Spirit" on the Lord's Day, and a great voice said unto him. "What thou seest write in a book," and through John we were given the great book of Revelation. Inspiration must come before action, the plan before the deed, however humble, and perhaps with this setting before us we can begin the tale of the years of our second century.
