“Hallowe’en Parties" in Kingsboro Hall will long be remembered by those who attended.
Mr. McClare taught Sunday School to the combined group (Baltic and Kingsboro) during the summer months, and in the Baltic Hall during the winter. He was instrumental in organizing a Sunday School at the South Lake Christian Church which has continued to this day. D.V.B.S. was held several summers both at the Baltic Hall and at Lakeville.
During the winter months, weekly Bible classes were held, alter- nating between the homes at North Lake and South Lake and the Baltic Hall or surrounding homes. Mr. McClare was a wonderful teacher and these meetings were instructive and enjoyed by old and
young.
Mrs. McClare had great executive ability, and the \V..\I.S. profited much from it. Under her guidance, program books were made up by the members, and also included leaders, hostess and lunch committee.
She organized a C.G.I.T. for teenage girls with Mrs. Colin Dixon as her assistant. Later, Mrs. Walter Dixon assumed the leadership. She also organized a nursery class which was held in the parsonage until the new basement hall was built. It has continued till the present time.
After a successful six-year pastorate, Mr. McClare resigned and accepted a call to Centerville, Dighy Co., N.S. where he served the Digby Neck First Pastorate.
