1868

In 1868 there was a new departure. the Ministers and churches of Prince Edward Island Baptist belief felt themselves sufficiently strong enough to form a new Assoeiation of Prince Edward island. They were dismissed from the Eastern Association of Nova Scotia by their own request.

Thus, the first Association of P.E.l., was held at North River, July 18, with 13 churches represented and a membership of 627. East Point delegates to this Association were Rev. John Shaw. Alex Scott Sit. Duncan Robertson Jr.. and William MacVean.
