Juniors. and gave a special offering to a mission project associated with that year‘s work. In addition. they did two other four week explorations.

Later their studies included: (a) “What Is a Christian?" (b) “What Is an Explorer?" (c) “African Safari" (Mission Study).

At the closing banquet in 1975 Mrs. Colin Dixon announced that she would not be able to continue as a leader. Since that time many have helped during the years: Brenda MacGregor. Mrs. Clinton Stewart. Mrs. Russell Ching. Mrs. Jackson Willett. Janice and Jennifer Robertson.

World Wide Guild

On May 19. 1959 Mrs. Frank Mollins invited the young women of the liast Point United Baptist Church to the parsonage to discuss the possibility of organizing a World Wide Guild. From this meeting emerged the Mildred Law Chapter of the World Wide Guild.

On January 26. l982 this chapter held its final meeting. The members of that group formed the Mildred Law W.M.S. Five of the members who at the meeting in 1959 were still members and present at the final meeting in January 1982. These charter members are Elora Rose. Margaret Stewart. Bertie Rose. Arlene MacDonald. and Helen Young.

Many worthy causes were supported and many activities carried on. The main interest and purpose of the group was Missions. Offerings were received each month for support of missionaries. and a circle of prayer was held when each member prayed for some aspect of mission work. Prayer partners were chosen for special emphasis and letters from these missionaries kept the group
