posted on the work of our partners and their needs. Whenever possible a missionary would be invited to be a guest speaker at the meetings. At Christmas a food pareel or a donation would be sent. Within the group each year the members invited their husbands to one of their meetings and provided a pot-luck supper. The May meeting was "Mother's Night" when the members invited their mothers to the meeting and treated them to a pot-luck supper. At a time when any member was hospitalized the others all helped by pro¬ viding a supply of home baking. The Guild always took an active part in the local church by singing in the choir on various occasions, helping out in worship services, sponsoring the Explorer group, and the Baby Band party once a year. They also provided a babysitting service at the morning church service and donated toys to the nursery. The ladies catered to various suppers and social hour receptions in the church, also looked after the housekeeping needs of the Church and the parsonage. At Christmas each year they decorated the church. Within the community their work was also evident. The Rev. Arthur Willis provided taped messages which the Guild women took to the shut-ins along with treats. Donations were given to the refugee family in the area as well as to the local High School prize fund. Members held the Sunday worship service at the at regular intervals and provided the guests with home-made ice cream and cake on a number of occasions. The local hospital was also the recipient of needed items from the Guild. Members of the community who were sick or bereaved were remembered with a card, also Memorial Cards were sent.
