Dr. Frank H. Sinnott Honored

On September ll. 198] approximately three hundred and twenty-five people gathered at Port Williams Community Centre to honor Dr. Frank H. Sinnott on the SOIh anniversary of his ordination into the ministry.

The celebration was arranged by his family and by the Port Williams Church. His son, Donald. was Master of Ceremonies.

There were people present from most of Dr. Sinnott‘s former pastorates and most of these spoke about their association with him. Robert Rose told of his ministry in our area of P.E.l.

His daughter. Sharon. presented him with a memoy book containing tri- butes and remembrances from many friends.

People, in their speeches. spoke of his “deep care for people" and referred to him as “a good minister. a true friend. and the best kind of neighbour.“

A number of musical selections highlighted the evening. Dr. Sinnott con- cluded the program with a few remarks in which he referred to the faith which had enabled him to accomplish what he did during the past 50 years of ministry.

Mr. Sinnott does a great deal of supply or substitute ministering including his former field at the East Point United Baptist Church.

He says his greatest satisfaction from his career in the ministry has been “the number of friends I‘ve made everywhere."
