Each year two parties are held one in the summer sponsored by the W.M.S. and a December one by the W.W.G. Attendance at these parties ranged from a high of 121 to 40. A special feature of the summer party is the graduation ofthe 6-year-olds. A cake made and decorated by W.M.S.. honors the gradu- ates and a story is told by a W.M.S. member. A large candle on the cake re- presents Jesus. the Light ofthe World. The graduates light their small candles from the large one signifying letting their lights shine.

At Christmas a birthday cake is made and decorated by a W.W.G. mem- ber. The Christmas story is told and all sing Happy Birthday to Jesus. A light lunch is served at the conclusion of these parties.
