1865 “West Cape reports that some protracted meetings were held at Miminegash with much good. Some backsliders were restored and God’s people quickened. Fifteen young people joined selves to Church”. From the Circuit Record. 1865 West Cape reported two Sunday Schools. At this time, West Cape had one Chapel and nine other preaching places. The Cascumpec Circuit had no chapels and six preaching places. 1867 George Farley represented Miminegash on the Committee of Stewards and in August, 1867, he made a motion to purchase a sleigh and buffalo robe for the use of the preacher of the Circuit. 1868 Referred to the First Term as West Cape and Cascumpec Circuit. There has been no report for several years and work seemed to have slipped. Rev. Charles Wesley Dockrill began to revive their spirits and before long, one Sunday School with fifty scholars was established. 1869 Work was reported progressing and expanding. 1870 The Wesleyan Methodists were widely scattered but “borders of Zion” were being extended. Said Rev. Bigney, “A class has been formed at Alberton in which a few persons, some who seem to be in good earnest to flee from the wrath to come and to be saved from their sins” The Rev. John Bigney. 1871 Alberton Circuit, “The cause of the Lord seems to have been made some progress in the Alberton Circuit during the past year. There have been signs of special growth especially in Alberton. At Tignish, an earnest desire has been expressed by some who seem to be hungering for the Bread of Life and anxious to have religious meetings held there.
