Oct. 8, 1880 “Was to tea at Miminegash before this date most successful $200.00 reported on

hand after it. This sum will materially assist in the completion of the new church”. Diary of Rev. Joseph Seller.

Oct. 28, 1880 “The Methodists of Miminegash are erecting a very handsome little church. The

Bible Christians of the same place are putting up a more elaborate structure.” The Journal

1881 The Methodist Superintendent in Alberton reports an extensive and powerful

revival. “Souls have been saved and the work of God sustained and extended. The year now closing has been crowned with a gracious baptism of blessing and about one hundred have professed faith in Jesus Christ, sixty of whom have received the right hand of fellowship.” The Rev, Joseph Seller.

June 3, 1881 “A church has been built in Miminegash in the Alberton Circuit, 35 feet by 25 feet,

valued at $700.00 almost completed.” The Rev. Joseph Seller.

1881 “New Methodist Church, Miminegash to be opened July 10, 1881. WC. Strong to

preach afternoon and evening. Dedication in afternoon.” Unknown source.

1881 “At Cascumpec Village, last Sabbath, we had a season long to be remembered when

after the sermon, thirty-one people stood around the altar to be received into the church after which they joined in the Lord’s memorial feast.” Rev. Joseph Seller.

April 10, 1890 From the Wesleyan Magazine: “We are now engaged in special work at Montrose,

our new church being filled every Sunday.” Rev. George Wells Fisher

February 7, 1894 The following message was found written on a board in the attic of the Miminegash

Church: “February 7, 1894, this stove pipe was fixed by me today, Alvah Mclnnis”.

Nov. 2, 1913 “Miminegash Methodist Church opened after repairs. Extensive repairs were com-
