message itself. As was pointed out by Rev. Crooks, the New Church Hall may be
relatively small, but we can only imagine the influence for good on many lives that will be obtained through many future years of its use in accordance with God’s will.
Having baptised fifteen children in Miminegash in 1960, Rev. Crooks wondered if the results of that one event have led to the development of Christians who, twenty-three years later, have now been involved in this New Church Hall, which, in turn, will continue to affect the lives of others and encourage them in many ways to become workers for Christ.
Just as Christ fed five thousand people with two fishes and five loaves of bread, a little can become a lot whether it is a new church hall or anything else in which the
Spirit is allowed to work for the glory of God.
The Rev. Robert A. Crooks thanked the congregation for inviting him to preach at that time which was the twenty—fifth year of his ordination, the twenty- fifth year of his first ministerial experience in the Montrose Pastoral Charge in- cluding Elmsdale, Campbellton, and Miminegash, and also the first time that he of- ficially represented the United Church Maritime Conference outside of Halifax, NS. as its President.
Followng the Morning Worship Service in the Miminegash United Church, a reception and turkey dinner was held in the New Church Hall with all members and friends attending the Worship Service invited as guests of the congregation.
