A daughter, Florence Isabel Ann Elliott, was born to Rev. and Mrs. Elliott on December 20, 1929, but the baby died on January 16, 1930 and is buried in the United Church Cemetery in Elmsdale, P.E.I.
Mr. Elliott served as retired supply for a year at Pownal, P.E.I., where he bought a home and remained until his wife died on March 25, 1966. Since :hat time he lived with his son and daughter-in-law, Rev. and Mrs. Waldo Elliott, in Gunn- ingsville, N.B. He passed away in Moncton Hospital on February 10, 1969.
The funeral service in Pownal Church, P.E.I. was conducted by Rev. D.R. McLennan, Chairman of Presbytery, and interment was in Pownal Cemetery,
P.E.I.
Mr. Elliott is survived by his son, Waldo, and four grandchildren; also a half— brother, J.H. Godkin, Quebec.
His quiet, industrious ministry was distinguished by his fine Christian friendliness.”‘3

REV. MURDOCH DAN (M.D.) MacLEOD 1932 - 1937
“The Rev. M.D. MacLeod died at the Cove Guest Home, Sydney, N.S. on May 10th, 1978. Always known as “M.D.”, Mr. MacLeod is remembered as one of the few Gaelic speaking ministers of the United Church. Born in Wreck Cove, Victoria County, Cape Breton, on February 20th, 1876, at the time of his deatl. he had
passed his one hundred and second birthday.
His love for Cape Breton was well—known, and he frequently referred to Cape Breton as “The Land of Promise”.
