A graduate of Dalhousie University and Pine Hill Divinity Hall, Mr. MacLeod was ordained a minister of the Presbyterian Church in Canada in 1914. He served pastorates in Caledonia, Montrose, West Cape and Dundas in Prince Edward Island, and Birch Grove, Cape North, Leitch’s Creek and Gabarus in Cape Breton.

Rev. MacLeod was assigned to the Montrose Pastoral Charge, P.E.I. which included Miminegash, from 1932 to 1937. He retired from the active ministry in 1949.

The eldest son of Donald and Mary (Morrison) MacLeod, Mr. MacLeod was predeceased by his wife, Mary, in 1976. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mary Herion, of North Carolina, and two sons, Gordon of Sydney and Alan of Halifax.

Funeral services were conducted on May 13th in St. Andrew’s Church, Sydney, N.S., and burial took place in Harwood Hill Cemetery.”“

“The Rev. W.A. Paterson was born in Upper Kennetcook, N.S. on January 12th, 1894.

He attended the University of Saskatchewan and Edinburgh University, from where he received his M.A. degree.

He was ordained by the Presbyterian Church in 1924 and returned to Canada in 1926. He received the Bachelor of Divinity Degree from Pine Hill in 1934, and an honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree in 1967.
