Mr. Paterson served most of his ministry of Prince Edward Island at Caven- dish, Montrose, St. Peter’s Bay, Georgetown, and Margate. He also served at Pugwash, Lockeport and Boularderie, N.S. and Prince William, N.B. Rev. William A. Paterson served as pastor of the Montrose Pastoral Charge from 1937 to 1942. The Miminegash Church was part of the Montrose Charge, P.E.I. He served in two world wars. During the first war he was with the Princess Patricia Canadian Infantry and The Gordon Highland Regiment. During the second war he served in the Canadian Navy. Mr. Paterson, since his retirement in 1968, had been living in Sackville, N.B. He died there on January 20, 1975. He is survived by his wife, Dodie, and one son Douglas, two brothers, George and John; two sisters, Lottie and Florence. His first wife, Mary, predeceased him. His funeral service was held from Sackville United Church, conducted by members of Chignecto Presbytery. Interment was in Lockeport, N .8. Mr. Paterson, was a faithful and dedicated pastor. His pleasing personality endeared him to all who knew him, and to those with whom he worked. He will long be remembered!“ Rev.
