A great honor was given to Rev. Robert A. Crooks recently when he was selected to be President of the Maritime Conference.

Rev. Crooks is married to the former Marjorie MacLean, and they have four children: James, Cathie, Chris, and Tim.

BROWN M. JARDINE 1962 - 1965

Brown M. Jardine was born in Trenton, Pictou County, Nova Scotia on December 10, 1919, son of the late William and Catherine Jardine. After being

graduated from Trenton High School, he was employed by the Trenton Steel works, Morton’s P.R. Grocery and the Greendal Company Limited.

Mr. Jardine was a member and an Elder of the Trenton United Church and greatly involved with church work, particulary youth programs. He is a Mason and

an Odd Fellow.

In October, 1961, he accepted a call as lay supply minister to the Montrose Pastoral Charge which included Miminegash and Campbellton, P.E.I. Since 1966, he has been employed by the Hawker Siddeley Trenton Works, but Mr. Jardine has been active as lay supply minister in Pictou County in Bridgeville; Sunnybrae United Church Charge, Thorburn; Sutherlands River Presbyterian Church Charge, and Saltsprings United Church Charge.

As a pastor, Mr. Jardine has retained a special love and respect for the people in Miminegash. In return, this congregation has kept a special place in their hearts and memories for Brown Jardine, their beloved pastor.
