Pastoral Charge, which included Miminegash and Campbellton, assisting the Rev. M. Ronald Pocklington. Rev. Gazzard was an ex- cellent speaker, and his sermons were well-received by the congregations. Rev. Gazzard writes about his edcuation and pastoral experience as follows: “My experience at Miminegash and Campbellton, P.E.I. was during some of the most formative months of my education and one dimension stands out quite firmly in my mind and that is the emphasis which you placed on PRAYER. I fully believe that emphasis is the reason for the continuance, not only of your churches, but the CHURCH as a whole. One of the key contributions which your church can make to the life of the community is to seize on this Anniversary as a time of re- dedication to the power of prayer and allow the Spirit to use you for great things right where you are! Briefly, my education is as follows: B.A., Mount Allison University, 1966; 8D,, Pine Hill Divinity Hall, 1969 and was ordained in the same year; Th.M., The Atlantic School of Theology, 1975. Pastoral experience: Following my ordination, my wife and 1 went to the Lower Musquodoboit Pastoral Charge (’69-’71), then to St. Andrew’s United Church Sydney, N.S. (’71-’73), then to St. John’s United Church in Elmvale, Ontario (’73- ’78). We came to Mount Royal United Church, Quebec, in the late spring of 1978 and at present are being highly stimulated by the church’s challenge of being in con- temporary Quebec.” In 1982, Rev. Gazzard was hosting a television program called, Adventure in Living on the Montreal, Quebec Cable Television. 115
