Rev. tewar inghill, N.S. from 1964 to 1969 and was the pastor of Zion United Church in Liver~ p001, N.S. from 1969 to 1972. Following his assignment in Oromocto, New Brunswick from 1972 to 1975; Rev. Russell became the minister in the Alberton- Elmsdale Pastoral Charge from 1975 to 1983. This charge included Campbellton and Miminegash, P.E.I. It was during Rev. Russell’s pastorate that the Miminegash United Church celebrated the 100th Anniversary of its church building in 1981. Under Rev. Russell’s leadership the Miminegash United Church Hall was built in 1982 and dedicated in 1983. Rev. Russell held a variety of offices in the Presbytery, and was a Board member and a Board Chairperson of the Atlantic Christian Training Center. In the Alberton, P.E.I. area, he was a member of community groups and service organiza- tions. At the time of his leaving Alberton, P.E.I., Rev. Russell was a School Board Trustee. On June 27, 1983, Rev. Russell announced his resignation from the Alberton- Elmsdale Pastoral Charge effective September 15, 1983 to accept a call to the Clifton Pastoral Charge, near Truro, Nova Scotia. On September 3, 1983 a Farewell Reception was held in the Gordon Memorial Church Hall, Alberton, P.E.I. for Rev. and Mrs. Russell and their three children. 119
