There was a Sunday School in Campbellton in which this girl had worked in the 1850’s, and there was a Missionary Society. We have no concrete proof until 1863 that there was a church building in Campbellton. We can assume that the first church building was built about 1850 or 1852, and that it was not the building that is there now.

We had a change of ministers in 1865 and the Rev. William Stuart took over from 1865 to 1870.
