. MacKay

Rev. W1 1am

His first charge, 1905 - 1908, was in Montrose, Prince Edward Island, which in 1907 included Elmsdale, Tignish, Campbellton, and Miminegash.

He then received a call to Wick and Greenbank Presbyterian Charge in Ontario,

where he spent ten years. A second period of ten years was spent at Streetsville. Other Charges served by him were at Blackwater, Creemore and Schomberg. He had

completed thirty-eight years in the ministry.

He was survived by his widow, formerly Mary S. James of Charlottetown, P.E.I. Two daughters also survive, viz. Mrs. Hugh Davidson (Margaret) and Mrs. John Skinner (Catherine). A large circle of friends revere his memory as “a faithful and conscientious preacher and pastor, and a humble servant of Christ, who never

pushed his Christian gifts.”

Interment took place at Schomberg Cemetery on Friday, June 30th, 1944 following the memorial service in Century United Church, New Toronto.
