Rev. Dr. Lockhart spoke in many communities on Rural Improvement, lec- tured for a term at Scarrit College, Tennessee, and for a year at Pine Hill. He was one of the founders of Camp Ta-Wa-Si. Dr. Lockhart was a man of serene and cheerful disposition. He was a fine pastor and a faithful worker for Jesus Christ.

As far as my memory serves me, I will relate an incident concerning an ex- perience Rev. George A. Christie had while serving as “Spare Minister of the Camp- bellton Parish”. After Rev. Thomas Lewis Williams left in 1923, this area was without a regular minister due to the approaching formation of the United Church of Canada. Rev. Christie served the Alberton area and during the winter, came down on the train during the week to Bloomfield Station. After a bit of visiting around Bloomfield, he went on to Campbellton.

One Thursday morning during the winter of 1923 or 1924, a north east snow Storm started in the early morning. It was snowing quite heavily when the train arriv-
