Communion Table - To the glory of God and in loving memory of His servants. James MacKendrick, died in 1928, and Clara Maddocks, died in 1957. On August 12, 1960, the Campbellton United Church received this gift of a new communion table presented by Mr. and Mrs. William MacKendrick of Campbellton, Mrs. W.C. MacLeod of Southport, Mrs. J.F. Gordon of Charlottetown, Mrs. Marion Mitchell of Fortune Bridge, and Howard MacKendrick of Glasgow, Scotland in memory of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. James C. MacKendrick. In the presence of these members of the family, except Howard MacKendrick, and the assembled congrega- tion, the formal presentation was made by Glendon MacKendrick, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William MacKendrick. The gift was received and dedicated by the minister, the Rev. Robert A. Crooks. The plate that bears the memorial inscription was made by Howard MacKendrick and sent by him from Scotland, the land of the MacKendrick forebears.
