George MacDonald

George MacDonald, b. 1901, d. 1973, was the son of Donald Francis and Mary Ann MacDonald. George married Mary

McDonald of Vernon. George and Mary raised two children, Francis, b. 1952, and Florence, b. 1950.

Donald Francis MacDonald

Donald Francis, b. 1866, d. 1949, married (1st wife) Mary Ann Fisher, b. 1875, d. 1910, of Rollo Bay, in 1900.

Donald Francis and (2nd wife) Ellen (Mary) MacDonald, of Cherry Hill, married in 1914. Thechildren of Donald's first marriage were young when their mother died; therefore, they were brought up by Ellen, his second wife. The children include: George, married Mary MacDonald; James, joined the Brotherhood; Gerard, joined the Brotherhood; Ethel, joined the Congregation de Notre Dame; Reginald, joined the Brotherhood; John, died in early manhood; Joseph, died in infancy; and Ellen, died in infancy. Donald Francis was the son of Alexander (Sandy Donald).

Alexander (Sandy Donald) MacDonald

Alexander married (1 st wife) Jane (MacDonald). Later, he married Ellen (Northpole) of Vernon River. Alexander was the son of Marie (daughter of Donald and Ellen MacDonald), who married Senator John A. MacDonald. Marie's father Donald was the son of Charles and Isabel MacDonald. Charles was one of the original five MacDonald brothers to leave Tracadie and settle in Orwell Cove in 1807.
