Aland Peggy Larkin
Al and wife Peggy purchased the OnNell Cove School in 1971. When they came over the hill and saw the cove that first time, they knew where they wanted to spend their summers in the future. This was before they even became acquainted with all the good people , who accepted them, and made them feel at home in the summer of 1971. Al, originally from Boston, and Peggy, along with their children, Carol, Paul, Michael, Joseph, Laura, and Donna, have spent the last 24 summer vacations at the OnNell Cove schoolhouse.
The Omen Cove school was built in 1898 by Norman Gillis. The school had two classrooms in it. The upstairs had a hall that was used for concerts. Due to consolidation, the smaller schools went up for tender and in 1971, Al and Peggy Larkin purchased the OnNell Cove school house.
