Charles and Eufreda MacDonald

Charles, son of Dan Ronald and Clara MacDonald, married Eufreda Stewart, d. 1962. He obtained the property from his father.

Dan Ronald and Clara MacDonald

Dan Ronald was the third son of Ronald and Martha (Northpole) MacDonald, who raised ten children. On July 12, 1855, he was christened Donald James MacDonald, but there were too many "DONALDS" around, so as a youth, he became known as "Dan." There were so many MacDonalds about the Island by that time and so, for quick identity, he was locally known as " Dan Ronald Sandy Charles."

a. Dan Ronald married 1st wife Matilda MacDonald, who died three months later of pneumonia.

b. Dan Ronald married 2nd wife Belle Mclsaac, of Cherry Valley, had one son. Belle and son both died of pneumonia.

0. Dan Ronald, b. 1855, d. 1937, married 3rd wife, Clara Grant, d. 1963. They were married June 7, 1891, raised ten children - four sons, six daughters - two daughters are still living today.

(i) Minnie, b. 1892, d. 1976, married Daniel Mclsaac, raised eight children;

(ii) Frances, b. 1893, d. 1985, married Wendelin Morrissey, raised eleven children;

(iii) Josephine, b. 1894, married John Mclsaac, raised seven children;

(iv) Lucy, b. 1896, d. 1951, married Peter Mclnnis, raised nine children;

(v) Charles, b. 1897, d. 1984, married Freda Stewart, farmed until ill health
