Ronald Charles MacDonald
Ronnie Charlie, son of Ronald Charles MacDonald, had a daughter, Marion, who predeceased him; therefore, there was no family claim to this land. In 1914, he sold fifty acres of this land to Peter McKenna of Iona. This house was originally built by Ronald Charles MacDonald Sr., on the opposite side of the road, near the water.
In 1807, Ronald Charles MacDonald purchased 492 acres of land from Lord Selkirk. Charles then divided his land between four of his sons: Alexander, Ronald, Donald, and John. James, a fifth son, settled on the southern side of the OnNell River. Ronald Charles MacDonald had three other children who remained in the Tracadie area.
