Joseph (Jodie) McRae

Donald and Jane (MacDonald) McRae owned the 50 acre farm at McRae's Corner. They had four of a family and adopted Joseph (Jodie) when he was a baby. Later Jodie and his sister Mary Ann McRae operated the farm.

Joseph (Jodie) married Laura Power, b. 1882, d. 1976, daughter of Archie Power and Catherine Docherty, in 1908, raised a family of eight:

Jeanette, b. 1909, married James Barrett, Braintree, MA. They have one girl and one boy,

James, b. 1911, married Winnifred Power, reside in Hamilton, ON. They raised a family of four girls. James was a carpenter by trade. Jack (John), b. 1913, d. 1988, married Mary Murphy, resides on the family farm, raised a family of four: Joseph, Marie, David, and Donald;

Daniel, b. 1914, a painter, married Maxine Clark, reside in Edmonton, AB. They have two boys.

Lawrence (Bill), b. 1914, married Marguarite Morrissey, resides in Sherwood, PE. Lawrence, a retired steelworker, served in the army in Canada, England, France, Italy, Belgium, Holland, and Germany until 1946;

Bernard, b. 1916, d. 1973, a sheet metal worker, served in the army in Canada, England, France, Italy, Belgium, Holland, and Germany until 1946, when he returned to Hamilton, ON where he resided until his death; Isabel, b. 1918, married Joe Kelly, resides in Hamilton, ON. They have six boys and two girls.

Mary, b. 1921, married Raymond Amer, resides in Hamilton, ON. They have three girls.
