McLeod Bill and Julie Patten Bill and Julie lived in , Ontario , about 25 miles North of Toronto , before taking up residence in PEL In the summer of 1993, Bill and Julie began looking at homes on the Island. After a week of searching, they came upon this eighty to ninety year old house, situated in Orwell Cove . In December of 1993, they moved into their new home. Although the time of the year was not ideal for moving, it was unseasonably warm the day they moved in. For the next couple of days, Bill and Julie were sure people had been over exaggerating the extent of PEI winters; then reality struck, and they experienced their first COLD blast of winter! Having survived the coldest winter on record so far after moving in, Bill and Julie are ready for whatever happens now. Bill was born and lived in Toronto most of his younger years. He lived in the east end of the city in an area called The Beach, by . Bill worked as a Construction Engineer throughout Canada and the States. His work involved the reconstruction of Old in Thunderbay, ON, a noted historical sight. Other projects included the restoration of 118
