Gerald Rooney

In 1951, Gerald, b. 1926, married Florence Mclnnis, b. 1927, d. 1958. They moved to Newtown Cross, had four children. Gerald then married his second wife, Flora MacDonald, d. 1983, and raised five children of this union, as well as Ila, Flora's daughterfrom a previous marriage. Gerald's home in Newtown Cross was destroyed by fire in 1973 and he moved back to Orwell Cove.
