James and Joan Rooney

James, b. 1922, was the son of John and Elizabeth Rooney. In 1946, James married Joan Byrne, b. 1919, and they raised eight

children:

Richard, b. 1948, married Gloria Shaw in 1968, raised four children, lived in Toronto, ON, returned to live in OnNell in 1982, presently employed with the Dept. of Highways in Charlottetown;

Mary, b. 1949, married Earl Redmond in 1968, raised three children, presently resides in Mount Albion with her husband and family; Joseph, b. 1953, married Helen Pentecost in 1976, raised three children, operates and owns a mechanic shop in Iona, presently employed as a school bus driver;
