John and William Rooney

John and Vlfilliam are the sons of John and Elizabeth (Dreelan) Rooney. John married Dorothy Laurence in 1950 and they raised six children. William married Julia Laurence in 1942. They raised seven children. John and William both reside in the United States and are retired carpenters by trade. They purchased the property from their uncle, Faber Dreelan.

Faber Dreelan

Faber Dreelan, b. 1892, d. 1965, was the son of William Joseph and Maria (Gill) Dreelan. He went to Prince of Wales College, where he got a teacher's licence. He was on the 1914-15 football team that won the Intercollegiate Championship. After leaving Prince of Wales College, he taught school in On/vell Cove and Newtown Cross. Faber learned the cheese and butter making in OnNell Cove Factory. He also made butter in Eldon, New Perth, and Morell factories. He is buried in St.

Michael‘s Cemetery, Iona.
