Wednesday, April It, 1907 I don't want any of you people over there interrupting me, because there is one thing that I never do in this House is interrupt anybody. Now, first of all I would like to go on and speak about the wonderful improve¬ ments in and in and in Kings County since the Liberals took over on July 28th, 1966. That was a wonderful time. Now, Mr. " Landslide " Sinnott I will talk to you later. I started calling him "wonderful" Sinnott but I have changed to "landslide" Sinnott now and the next time he won't even be here, he will be back practising medicine. In the First District of Prince, we have a Senior Citizens Home in Tignish that was built under the Liberal Government. Some have said since we came into the House, the Opposition said, what have you done in the last seven or eight months? I could go on here and talk for hours and hours about all the good things we have done for the Province of Prince Edward Island , but it wouldn't do any good because you fellows would only contradict it anyway. But I guess you cant because for the simple reason I have all the proof here for it. We have a Senior Citizens Home in Tignish , six room Senior Citizens Home and it was built by a young man by the name of John Perry from Tignish and he has done a wonderful job. We always like to give our work to our local people, and I think that probably when the Conservatives were in power they did the same thing. We also have a Chronic Care Centre in Alberton , a fifty bed Hospital that will employ around thirty-five to forty people. They are getting along very well with it and we hope by the first of September or the first of October that it will be in use and this Chronic Care Centre in Alberton will cost around $676,884.00. Right now we have around twenty to twenty-five men working on this site and in the Special Session, my good friend from O'Leary that lives in my District, but runs in the , mentioned about this person being laid off and that person being laid off. But I will say that half of the people working on the Chronic Care Centre are Conservatives, and that takes in pretty near all the Conservatives that we have up in tine First District of Prince. (Laughter) We have also a Library and it was built this winter and it was built by Winter Works, the labor was done by Winter Works I understand, and we also have a new factory for Maple Craft, Herbie Levitt in Alberton . That was put up this winter. It is a new building, the same man is running it, he expanded after the Liberals got into power. He was getting more sales, so he told me, and we also have a Community Centre in Alberton and this was being built under Winter Works too and it is a wonder¬ ful credit to Alberton and to . Also we have a Community Centre being built in Tignish . My, I dont know where all the money is coming from. They must be doing most of it on their own because I heard a little story once about a man milking a cow, a thunderstorm came on, and when the thunderstorm was over he was left holding the bag, so that is the way we were but it happened that the bag was empty. We also had an extension to the Regional High School in Alberton , I will have to give my good friend from O'Leary that runs in the , I will have to give him credit for, because this is something that myself and quite a few others worked for over a good many years to get this and in the dying moments Dr. Dewar said "yes". I guess he knew he wasnt going to be there much longer and he thought he had better help me out as he and I are very good friends. In O'Leary , Turner and Sherry also helped them out this year on another loan, also we had another fertilize* plant built at O'Leary and look I could go on and on. If you have a question to ask you stand up and I will answer it. J. Cyril Sinnott : I was just going to ask, before you leave First Prince, what about your Fish Plant in Alberton ; it was announced in your statement the middle of January. Honourable Robert E. Campbell : That's Government policy, it cant be revealed yet. (Laughter) J. Cyril Sinnott : Will you permit a further question? Honourable Robert E. Campbell : Yes, Sir . Yes , Sir. J. Cyril Sinnott: Am I to understand that the Government has nothing to do with this fish plant that is going to go up in Alberton ? —1M—
